Week 11 completed – 14 weeks of mini pledges


week 11Week 11 was all about eating at least one locally grown or raised food at each meal. This includes, but is not limited to: fruits, vegetables, eggs, grains, nuts, meats, and sweeteners like honey.

Another easy one for me, as I now buy almost all my fruit and veg from the local market and they get all their produce locally. I don’t always buy local meat as it costs way more to get it from the local butcher and I can’t always afford it, but the fruit and veg from the market is actually cheaper than the supermarket in most cases and usually tastes way better. Even the out of season strawberries (which I wouldn’t usually buy or eat) taste lovely and juicy.

So, this week was a complete success!
