In case you didn’t know, I used to be an actor. It’s true, I went to drama school and everything, and along the way I met a lot of incredibly talented and wonderful people. Many of them were LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender). It was never an issue for any of us, as we focused on the PEOPLE rather than their sexual preferences.
Well, one of my old college buddies, Barry Woods, is quite the LGBT activist. He, and his lovely husband, Josef, run a fabulous site called LGBT Icons (seriously, check it out – it’s great!), and also have guest bloggers on from time to time (Neil is another friend from my acting days).
Barry is hosting a Digital Pride March on Facebook and Twitter this Friday (29th November 2014) and hopes to turn these social networks into a rainbow of support for LGBT people everywhere. All you have to do is post a picture, whether it’s of yourself, your work space, or anything else you like, and tag it with #LGBTearth. It’s as simple as that. You just leave that picture up for 24 hours to show your support.
I’d love it if all my blogger pals around the world from ever walk of life will want to show their support.
You don’t need to be LGBT to join in – you just need to be awesome!
