Here in Scotland it’s Hogmanay – the last night of the year, filled with dancing and fun and excitement. People everywhere will be staying up to ring in the bells at midnight and toast them with a cheeky little drink, before going on to parties that continue into the wee small hours.
Some of us, however, prefer a quiet evening at home.
I’ll be cosying up in our living room with a large glass of white wine, some nibbles, and a craft project.
For those of you who would like to join me in a peaceful evening, I offer up my annual band sampler cross stitch project.
