Tadpole got all excited this morning – a flurry of snowflakes were falling fast as he watched from his bedroom window. He was desperate to go outside in it, so we did. It was cold and wet and rather horrible. It was also heartbreaking to see his face when I had to explain that the snow wouldn’t lie and he wouldn’t be able to finally use the sledge he got from Santa last Christmas (there was no snow after the festive season, much to his disappointment).
The sleety snow has continued, on and off, all day, and the ever-changing weather pressure has left me with a rather nasty headache, but at least Tadpole got some joy from watching the snow fall and going outside in it for a while.
Roll on the proper snowy weather so we can finally try out that sledge!
