New crochet stitch learned – Crocodile stitch

My first ever attempt at crocodile stitch!

The other night I came across this excellent video tutorial showing how to do the crocodile stitch. I saw a picture of how this stitch looks and thought to myself, “There is no way I’m ever going to be able to get that right!”

You know what? Like many complicated-looking things, this is actually quite a simple stitch to do and rather a lot of fun!

I crocheted along with the video for a few rows to get an idea of how it works and as you can see, even on my first attempt here, it turned out not too bad at all!

So, I’ve decided to practice it a little more and use this stitch for my own scarf (possibly a hooded one!). Now I just have to find a yarn I’d like to use for it. I think a variegated one would look stunning!

Anyway, without further ado, here is the very helpful crocodile stitch tutorial video.
